This is our ‘Nelson’ boy. We got him from Big Dog Rescue a few years back. He was very under weight, no fur on his back up to his shoulders and he was extremely timid (his tail was permanently between his legs). We couldn’t leave him there, that face, those eyes! Now, he is 52 kilos (whoops), his fur has mostly grown back and he is the best dog in the world! He has never shown any signs of aggression, doesn’t bark or dig or try to escape, he is perfect! He made our family complete! i am a photographer and I am so happy that he loves to model for me (anything for food!). This is a serious shot, there was food involved!
This is my beautiful sister who is sadly suffering with dementia. She just loves to get a visit from her carers dog. How much joy a pet can bring into ones life.
This is my cat Moxie. When I found Moxie she was a tiny stray kitten, she had very little fur, was riddled with everything imaginable, mange, worms, ringworm… you name it! She was also chasing a German Shepherd. Hence the name – Moxie (It is American slang for ‘courage’). It took months to get her healthy. However, 5 years on, she’s a wonderful pet. And she still has a lot of moxie!
